Youth Voice

Working on a variety of youth led projects

We believe that all children and young people should be heard and have their views acted upon, our youth voice work is underpinned by the Lundy Framework.

Youthforia (Yofo)

Youthforia is the North West regional youth voice forum co-produced with a youth Steering Group. The steering group, made up of 10 young people, organises YOFO events, uniting over 90 attendees from 24 local authorities to influence and represent thousands of young people annually.

GMYCA Meeting-06937 (1)

Greater Manchester Youth Combined Authority (GMYCA)

GMYCA comprises 28 youth groups, with each selecting two representatives aged 11-18. Their work involves advising the Mayor and Portfolio Leads on challenges and opportunities faced by young people, actively supporting GMCA partners in policy development (such as Transport for Greater Manchester), and constructively challenging leaders to improve outcomes, especially for marginalised youth.

Authoring Our Own Stories

Authoring Our Own Stories, a 5-year youth recovery project, explores how young people's identities affect service access. 20 young leaders co-produce a regional research project using creative methods to share their findings.

For Planet

For Planet is a young people's environmental program designed to alleviate climate anxiety through social action, encouraging small actions with a big impact.

We created an app that transforms these actions into a fun, world-building game to enjoy with friends and family, all working together for a brighter future.

The youth leadership program co-produces and oversees the app's ongoing development.

North West Net Zero Youth Network

Established in June 2022 with North West Leaders' support, the Net Zero Youth Network aims to influence policy development and ensure young people in the region have a voice in shaping climate and Net Zero initiatives.

Environmental Working Group

A task and finish group which is part of the GMYCA, the group identify and work on climate and environmental initiatives. Offering advice and input to policy areas and contributing to events like the Green Summit.

Bee Heard Mental Health Forum
